Tributes
I was lucky enough to meet Barb at work nearly forty years ago. From the start, I looked up to her as she was one of our leading account representatives. As a teammate, I learned so much from her professionalism, work ethic, and dedication. Eventually, we both joined another company where, once again, Barb distinguished herself as a leader. This was no surprise at all. When Barb sets her mind to something, she accomplishes it. Over time, we began sharing lunches together. What started as casual conversations developed into a lifelong friendship. Barb is a loyal, trustworthy, caring, honest, funny, intelligent, and empathetic person. She has also been a tremendous source of comfort and strength to me during some of life's most difficult challenges. She is a true friend not only to me, but to many others whose lives she has touched. During the many years I have known Barb, she has faced numerous serious health challenges. As an only child, she also experienced the heartbreaking loss of her mother in her early twenties and her father in her early forties. Through each of these hardships, Barb has demonstrated extraordinary courage, resilience, and grace. She has continually faced adversity with determination and a positive spirit that inspires those around her. Later in life, Barb found her true love, Brian. They were married in 2019, and together they have built a loving and supportive life. It makes my heart so happy for her. I would be forever grateful for Barb to have the opportunity to enjoy as many healthy years as possible with her beloved husband through the gift of kidney donation. Barb is a remarkable person who has given so much of herself to others throughout her life. She is deeply deserving of the chance to continue creating memories with those who love her and to enjoy the future she and Brian have built together.

Barb and I met about eight years ago in a weekly group, focused on self improvement. Barb and I immediately clicked given her background and her bright vibrant personality. Each week Barb would offer insights on our coursework that always struck a cord with me, and was very practical and down to earth. When COVID shut down everything and we went online, Barb didn’t blink nor did she miss a beat in joining in the weekly group online.
I appreciated Barb taking me under her wing, as we discussed many various odds and ends, including business, and life in general. One of the more defining points in our relationship was that I had just lost my nephew to being stillborn, and a mere three weeks later, my grandfather was on the verge of passing away. I could’ve called anybody at that point in time, including my husband at that point, but instead, I called Barb. She was able to handle the compounded grief that I was working through as best as I could in the moment. She was compassionate, understanding, and did not invalidate the painful juxtaposition of losing an unborn child and losing a grandparent in such a short amount of time. If you’ve ever been in a remotely similar position, you know it can be difficult to find people who can hold your grief with tenderness and loving care.

Barb is one of my dearest friends, my longest and most cherished friendship. Barb and I have been in each other‘s lives since we were 17. We have schooled together, worked together, buried parents together, gone through love and heart aches together, and been in each other’s weddings after we both found our soul mates. We have been through thick and thin, ups and downs, and tears and laughter. She is one of the most compassionate, caring, loving, and generous people I know. I can’t imagine having done any of this without her.
Life has not always been a bed of roses for Barb, but you would not know that by the zest she lives with and the determination she shows for life. She is a woman of high integrity. Her positive attitude has set such a great example for all who know her, and I know her strong faith in God will see her through.
Barb would be that person to put herself out there to help an individual in need. It is only right that she be given a chance to continue on with her journey here on earth.
Please help if you can!

I am writing to share my heartfelt support for Barb. Having known her for over six years, I can truly say she is a unique and incredible person who makes this world a better place.
Barb is an exceptional listener with a rare ability to make those around her feel comforted. She is deeply compassionate, generous with her time, and is beloved by her family, friends, and the entire community. Her kindness extends to all things, from her gentle nature with pets to her love for the outdoors.
If ever there was a person worthy of a new kidney, it is Barb. I am so grateful to have her in my life, and I hope you will give her every possible consideration.
